Nicole Richie, the television star and mother of two, has opened up about what approach she likes to take to fashion now she is no longer living the simple life.
For years Richie and her old friend Paris Hilton lived a glamorous party lifestyle in Hollywood but now, more mature, she has settled down with long-term boyfriend Joel Madden.
Nicole is mother to Harlow, two, and Sparrow, six months and admitted in an interview with the Sunday Times that despite her life taking a different direction she has not changed the way she dresses.
She told the paper: " Becoming a mother hasn't changed my style. I've always been one to dress for comfort.
" My staples are a good pair of opaque black tights, so you can wear your summer dresses in the winter. Bed jackets are really important to me, because I can just throw a different one on every day and it's a completely new outfit."
Nicole is the daughter of legendary crooner Lionel Richie who had a smash hit single with Hello.
