Claire Richards, the former Steps singer, has insisted that once she is ready she will set about losing her pregnancy weight and moving out of
maternity clothes.
The 32-year-old gave birth to a baby girl, Daisy, 11 weeks ago, but during her pregnancy the once svelte songstress allowed her weight to move up to 15 stone and now takes a size 18 in
maternity clothes.
Yet, she believes that once she is ready losing weight and becoming a fit and healthy mother will not be an issue.
She told Closer magazine in an interview reproduced in the Daily Mail: " I don't want to be overweight forever, I want to be fit for my kids.
" And when I'm slim, I admit I feel better about myself. But when you have a baby, it's inevitable you'll put on weight."
Claire released a fitness DVD entitled Five Step Fat Attack in 2008 that chronicled her previous six stone weight loss.
