Women choosing
maternity wear for weddings may be embracing one-shoulder styles, as an expert has highlighted their growing popularity.
Rachel Southwood, director at Wedding Ideas Magazine, noted that 2010 is likely to see such designs remain prominent, although strapless dresses will feature heavily.
There could also be greater emphasis placed on the back of maternity wedding dresses, as she explained that people are becoming more concerned with this because it is the part seen throughout the ceremony and is often photographed.
Commenting on some of the other trends anticipated for this year, Ms Southwood remarked: " We're seeing more and more
attention to detail and sparkle on the back of wedding dresses than ever before."
She added that " full-length veils will see a resurgence in popularity" , having been missing from the wedding scene for a number of years.
The recent New York Bridal Fashion Week saw flower details, draping and ruffles become key features of dresses.
