Pregnancy Style Q&A with Natalie Alcala, Editor in Chief of Racked LA

*Describe your pregnancy style? Has it changed from your regular style or mostly stayed the same?*

Loose and pantless, whenever possible. Before pregnancy, I was a major advocate of crop tops. Now, not so much. (However, I may brave a crop top or two this summer when my belly grows a little bigger; I think I’ll pair it with a maxi skirt to channel that whole flower child/”Mother Earth” vibe.) One thing that has remained constant: short hemlines!

*What is your go-to outfit? Any fashion staples?*

Tunics, tunics and more tunics! Also, rompers and shortalls — I can’t get enough.

*Fitted or flowing for your bump?*

It depends. Fitted maxi dresses are great for dressy events and date nights, but flowing fits are best for everyday wear. Comfort is extremely key at the moment.

*What’s your favorite Seraphine piece and why?*

Although I have quite a ways to go before the little one arrives, I’m already a huge fan of Seraphine’s breastfeeding shawl. I love that it’s multifunctional and offers a discreet yet stylish way to nurse.

*Do you have any top tips to share with other pregnant moms?*

Embrace the change! Styling your bump through each stage of pregnancy can actually be a very fun and creative process. Also, if you Instagram a look, always include #stylethebump so you can join all the other stylish mommies-to-be out there in one, inspiring feed.
