Love this coat! I was looking for something that could last the next 3-5 years. It’s extremely well made. The weight is perfect and it completely blocks out the wind. The babywearing panel is also the perfect size to tuck over babe’s lap in the car seat.
Lovely quality and materials. Fit a bit bigger than expected. Usually i’m a UK 12/14 (M/L) so bought the 14 to make sure it fit comfortably around my hips. It does and there is plenty of room for a jumper underneath, but I’m not sure if I’ll need one as it seems really well insulated and warm.
I love this coat for both when I have baby with me and for when it's just me. The only negative thing about it is that it is so warm & it would've been great and I would've had so much more use out of it if the fur lining was removable - then it would be a fantastic autumn coat too. As yet, I have been unable to wear it because it is too hot.
Shame - I wish I read these reviews before ordering. I absolutely love the coat and it's exactly what I wanted, but sadly the size is bigger than usual. I'm a UK 8-10 and have found Seraphine size 8 fits me really well. However this coat was really baggy on me (in my 3rd trimester!) and considering I'd like it to continue post-pregnancy, unfortunately I'll have to return it. Now all the smaller sizes are sold out so I'm pretty sad as I can't see another I like so much!
I love this coat. It is so versatile and can adapt to fit and flatter before and after pregnancy. I am 32 weeks right now, and this coat looks great, I'm excited to try it with a baby carrier later on. I ordered a size 6 and it does seem like it runs a little large. I think a 4 would have fit better (135lbs, 5'4"), but the drawstrings make it so that it is still cute and small enough to wear.
I had to toss my five year old winter parka, and since I'm not due till May I wasn't really in the market for a full on maternity jacket. But a coat that looks good now at 16 weeks, will grow with me until the end of this winter, and fit a baby in a carrier next winter sounded perfect! I'm 5'6" and 160 lbs pre-pregnancy and still about the same now at 16 weeks. I ordered a US 8 in last years coat on clearance since there was one left, and also this version in a 10. The 8 fit perfectly, but I was interested the water/wind resistance of the current version. I ordered another size 8 in this coat but unfortunately, it's still big! I decided to stick with the 8 in last years coat since it was less expensive. If I stayed with this one I'd probably need to try a 6. Overall both jackets are great quality and a good investment, I just slightly prefer last years fit on me. I was a little surprised this one ran bigger in comparison.
