STORE MANAGER - FULL-TIME

Excellent opportunities have arisen to join our internationally successful British Brand for a Store Manager in our London Store.

Based in London, the brand operates an internationally successful e-commerce business, supported by physical maternity stores in London, Leeds, Paris, New York, Hong Kong, and Dubai & New Delhi.

Providing high-quality maternity fashion for over 17 years, Seraphine operates on the belief that every woman deserves to feel comfortable and confident in her clothes through every stage of her journey into motherhood.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

People:

  • Strategically recruit, train and develop managers to increase day to day productivity
  • Develop the Assistant Store Manager to support succession planning for the future growth of the business
  • Manage all aspects of people development (performance appraisals, individual development plans, coaching and counselling) for a productive and successful workforce
  • Uphold company standards and act as a strong leader to the team/li>
  • Leadership and Communication
  • To conduct and execute productive daily meetings by ensuring there is a comprehensive structure in place i.e. agenda
  • Model the way for the store team and inspire a shared vision
  • Taking charge of the roll-out of new training and operational initiatives
  • Managing the Environment
  • Coach staff to take the initiative as leaders to oversee all levels of customer service and set daily goals and expectations to create a positive store environment
  • Exhibit excellent floor presence by training and coaching the store team on customer service, standards, product placement and time management
  • Guiding the team to uphold the company’s customer service standard

Operations:

  • Conduct walkthroughs with the Assistant Manager on a regular basis with constructive feedback and obtainable goals
  • Lead the team to perform all store-level operational procedures accurately and in a timely fashion, in accordance with all company policies and procedures
  • Achieve the store stock loss goals by training loss prevention awareness and overseeing adherence to loss prevention practices
  • Develop and implement a functional shipment processing system to ensure that merchandise is placed promptly and the sales floor is fully stocked
  • Possess excellent organisational skills and have the ability to plan, organise and execute projects by priority
  • Assume total accountability for store health & safety by overseeing and upholding company health & safety procedures at all times in order to protect employees and customers against accidents and incidents

Merchandising and Display:

  • Facilitate communication between the team and Head Office in order to enhance the store environment and efficiently execute all merchandising projects
  • Ensure that merchandise is ticketed and the sales floor is well stocked
  • Support sales by ensuring that merchandising is visually presentable to customers
  • Ensure floor sets are well organised, schedules appropriately, cleanly executed and completed in a timely manner
  • Enhance the store environment and efficiently execute all merchandising projects
  • Coach staff to understand and interpret current fashion trends in local markets in order to generate creative solutions

Commercial Awareness:

  • Lead the team to maximise store sales through analytical and creative management of merchandise from receipt to sales
  • Stay abreast of current trends and have a sound knowledge of customer profile by keeping up to date with external influences i.e. media and local community
  • Manage stock levels appropriately (taking into consideration the store environment) through the understanding of relevant reports and market trends
  • Demonstrate entrepreneurial skills to achieve and exceed store targets

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in a senior management role working in a fast-paced, high volume fashion retail environment
  • Ability to positively impact statistical results in sales and stock loss
  • Proven record of developing talented individuals at manager level
  • Can demonstrate the ability to identify problems and implement creative solutions (back of house, scheduling, organisation)
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal form
  • An awareness of the brand and its appeal to the market. Be a brand ambassador
  • Be physically fit – this is a demanding role which requires you to be on your feet for most of the day and you may be required to lift stock


SALES ASSISTANT - FULL-TIME & PART-TIME

Excellent opportunities have arisen to join our internationally successful British Brand for a Full-Time Sales Assistant & aa Part-Time Sales Assistant in our London store.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

People:

  • Deliver a positive, friendly experience by engaging the customer through conversation and service
  • Provide detailed product knowledge suited to the customer requirement
  • Focusing on customers and not on other tasks during prime time selling hours
  • Provide a store experience that reflects exceptional customer service, going above and beyond to retain customer loyalty and build the reputation of the brand
  • Contribute to the store by being positive, respectful and helpful to others
  • Uphold Company standards and act as a positive role model to peers

Teamwork and Communication:

  • Work productively within the team and take initiative to work with others toward a common, collaborative goal
  • Assist in the training and development of peers

Operations:

  • Assist in the timely and accurate completion of weekly tasks (i.e. markdowns, re-tickets)
  • Exhibit awareness of loss prevention guidelines and comply with all inventory control measures
  • Adhere to Company Health & Safety regulations at all times

Merchandising and Display:

  • Uphold store merchandising and cleanliness standards
  • Ensure that merchandise is ticketed and the sales floor is well stocked
  • Support sales by assisting in merchandising is visually presentable to customers
  • Commercially display product and visual merchandise product in accordance with the season and VM guidelines

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Have a friendly and engaging personality
  • Feel confident working with members of the public and strong communication skills
  • Previous experience in a retail environment
  • An awareness of the brand and its appeal to the market and be a brand ambassador
  • Be physically fit as they will be on their feet for most of the day and may be required to lift stock
